ITS THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!!! I AM SO EXCITED!
Wow, I can't believe it is almost the end of this school year. I am hoping that everyone that is is my class will have a safe and fun summer break and also for all of the teachers that they also have a safe and fun summer. I am very excited to be a eighth grader next school year. Also, this week was stressful, but not as I thought it would. In my previous blogs I said that Finals would be really stressful, but when they week came it wasn't. I would also like to thank Mrs. Tedesco fro being the best 7th grade teacher ever and for being our ELA teacher. I am still going to have her as a teacher, but for only ELA. The greatest thing is that I could just tell you this. This year in ELA was stressful and not so stressful. Somedays we had to much and some days it was like a breeze. Thought this year I learned about many things like Tone Words, TLQ’s, Smiley face tricks, and how to annualize. Some times it was even how to work better in a team or not to have bad habits like doing projects at the last minute. The really big things that I really liked about ELA was that we have fun when learning the lesson we are on. My favorite things that we learned this year was Troublesome Verbs, TLQ’s, How to do film, and how to not have bad habits.
The Troublesome Verbs were not as hard as other ones. Troublesome Verbs is about that lie and lay sound the same, but are way different. Lie is to rest and lay is to put or place something down. There are lots and lots of different kinds of Troublesome Verbs and each one has a pair. Troublesome Verbs helped me by remembering that there are different kinds of words that mean different kinds of things and this lesson helped a lot. TLQ’s are the same. TLQ’s helped me give better evidence to essays and my writing. Like I gave evidence in my final essay. What TLQ’s are is Transition, Link lead-in, quotes.
How to film is a different from ELA. How to film was from Making Movies that Matter. Movies that Matter also teach me to not do things at the last minute. So, it is a double learning experience. Also, because I wen tot the oil festival I saw how to make my movie next year better than this year. The other things was that most of us did not know at all how to film and so some did great and some didn’t. So, in conclusion I really like this year and it went great for me.
